Biological Evidence of Improved Wound Healing Using Autologous Micrografts in a Diabetic Animal Model

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Tissue healing consists of four main phases: coagulation, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. In diabetic patients, this process is stagnant in the inflammatory stage, leading to chronic wounds. The aim study evaluate an animal model biological evidence related use Rigenera® technology (Turin Italy), innovative mechanical procedure isolate autologous micrografts (AMG). Methods: Fifty male Wistar rats were divided into groups: control (C), treated with (CM), (DB), (DBM). experimental setup involved: quantification total collagen elastic fibers; histopathological analysis; immunohistochemical analysis for type I (COL1), III (COL3), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A), interleukin 4 (IL4) 10 (IL10); evaluation oxidative stress; measurement gluthatione (GSH); and, finally, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) on tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). Results: AMG induces a faster process: VEGF-A, IL4, IL10, GSH increased, while TNF-α stress decreased. Conclusions: Animals showed more favorable results compared those that did not receive treatment, demonstrating positive participation treatment difficult-to-heal

Evaluation of wound healing potential of Chicorium intybus in rats as animal model

The plant Chicorium intybus is used in traditional medicinal system as skin nourisher and to treat several skin aliments such as warts. The objective of this study was to evaluate ethanolic extract of Chicorium intybus for its wound healing activity in rats. The extract was tested on three groups of male Albino rats, consisting of six animals each, which were placed individually in cages. A...

A chemical biological strategy to facilitate diabetic wound healing.

A complication of diabetes is the inability of wounds to heal in diabetic patients. Diabetic wounds are refractory to healing due to the involvement of activated matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which remodel the tissue resulting in apoptosis. There are no readily available methods that identify active unregulated MMPs. With the use of a novel inhibitor-tethered resin that binds exclusively to...

Using lasers in diabetic wound healing.

Lasers are a treatment choice that appeals to patients. Early research suggests that laser therapy may have a role in hastening wound healing. Attempts have been made to use helium neon, CO2, and KTP lasers in encouraging wound healing in diabetics. We will review the English literature related to laser use in diabetic wound healing and discuss the concept of the use of nondestructive lasers fo...

Enhanced susceptibility to infections in a diabetic wound healing model

BACKGROUND Wound infection is a common complication in diabetic patients. The progressive spread of infections and development of drug-resistant strains underline the need for further insights into bacterial behavior in the host in order to develop new therapeutic strategies. The aim of our study was to develop a large animal model suitable for monitoring the development and effect of bacterial...
